Our Founder
Kiritahi Firmin is a botanist and eco-therapist teaching organics, permaculture, and sustainable living. Together with her whānau, she shares these skills with various communities on their Kimiora Papakainga on the Whanganui River.
At Kimiora Trust, she runs educational programs and looks after a native nursery. She firmly believes gardening is one of the best ways to initiate difficult conversations with whānau.
Grow Kai Organic, Finding Strength in Community
Kiritahi saw firsthand the devastating impact of suicide within her own family and community. She realised that through a supportive environment and practical skills, families could learn to cope with challenges and strengthen their bonds. This led to the birth of Grow Kai Organic.
Our Mission
Empower families and communities to thrive by fostering strong relationships, promoting sustainable living, and revitalising Maori heritage.
Vision
A world where individuals and families live in harmony with nature, connected to their cultural roots, and resilient in the face of challenges.
